To identify the cause of the problem, check if the error message appears with all your contacts or only with a specific contact.
- If the error message appears with only one contact, it is likely because the file you are trying to download is corrupted or has been moved by your contact. Cancel your download and look for a new source for this file.
- If the error message appears with all your contacts, the possible reasons are as follows:
- The hard drive where your receiving folder is located is full. Note that you can move your receiving folder from the Transfers tab in your Options.
- If your hard drive is not full, the problem is likely due to a corrupted file in your receiving folder. In this case, you need to move/delete the contents of your receiving folder to find the problematic file. You may empty (or copy somewhere else) your reception folder’s content.
